
1.General
Concentration of materials is normally divided into 3 stages: solid particle sediment section, transition section and compression section; deep-cone thickener is a High-rate thickener aiming at obtaining high underflow concentration; deep-cone thickener has the function of a stirring device with big cone angle, compression height and special design when entering the compression stage from concentration, the concentration process fairly is easy to fulfill from the sediment of solid particle to water, squeezed out from concentrated-phase layer; so as to obtain big processing capacity and high-concentration underflow; however, it is difficult to be made into large scale due to big cone angle. For a common thickener, concentrated-phase layer is a homogeneous system. It is an extremely difficult and long process to squeeze water from concentrated- phase layer only by pressure. Adoption of flocculation concentration, despite the remarkable rise in the sediment velocity of solid particles, does not see an improved processing capacity with the thickener as restricted by the compression process. Through comparing the work characteristics of the above two kinds of thickeners, break the balance status in the concentrated-phase layer on basis of a common thickener and by fixing a specially designed stirring device in the concentrated-phase layer, and medium and low pressure zones can be formed for the concentrated-phase layer. These low pressure zones become the channel of the concentrated-phase layer. The existence of this channel greatly speeds up the compression process of the thickener; it is right under this the new thickening mechanism that the GNYZ High-rate thickener and hi-pressure thickener has been developed. This kind of thickener has combined the advantages of High-rate thickener’s large processing capacity and deep-cone thickener’s high underflow concentration; the maximum underflow concentration of GNYZ High-rate high-pressure thickener can reach up to 70%, an increase of 20~50% than Conventional thickener, with processing capacity 4~10times higher than a Conventional thickener.
2.Main features:
(1) The specially-designed stirring device has a big cone-angle with a high compression design, which will help break the balance between the concentrated-phase layers, forming low-pressure zones in the concentrated-phase layer, and further water channel in the concentrated-phase layers, greatly speeding up the compression process of the thickener, with concentration efficiency 4~10 times higher than that of a common thickener, and maximum underflow concentration can reach above 70%.
(2) The equipment has a stable running, simple operation and a low energy- consumption for the processing capacity per unit.
(3) Modular design is adopted, and various concentration processes (natural concentration, flocculation concentration, inclined plate concentration) can be used as per user’s requirements; automatic, manual or remote centralized control can be available.
